    Feminist Love

After this photoshoot, as I walked to my car, a woman stopped me and said: “You two just made my day and heart, seeing so much feminist love and support made me so happy.”

Isn’t that awesome?! I had just met Laura with Laura Rae Photography that morning but we were having so much fun and it obviously showed. A reminder that laughter and love spread joy. Smile at someone today, it could change their whole day!

    Till Death We Do Art

“Till Death We Do Art” – Joe Craven

This quote really hit me during a dedication to Jeff Austin at the 2019 Grand Targhee Bluegrass Festival. Jeff had recently died unexpectedly. Joe Craven spoke reminding people to share their passion saying, “Tell your story and make your art”.

Life is hard. Honestly, it’s harder than I expected it would be at this age. There are so many ups and downs. BUT, I can’t imagine having it all end. Sometimes I need to be reminded not to let the negative energy win so I’m passing this on…

Create the life you want, tell YOUR story, and make your art!

Don’t let people’s opinions stop you. Don’t let society push you in a direction that you don’t want to go. Don’t listen to the “you shoulds”.

If tomorrow wasn’t coming, what would you do today?

Feel that freedom and LIVE A GREAT STORY!

  • Let Go

    Let Go

We attain freedom as we let go of whatever does not reflect our magnificence. A bird cannot fly high or far with a stone tied to its back. But release the impediment, and we are free to soar to unprecedented heights. – Alan Cohen

Let go of the negative and make room for the positive. 💛

Today as we start the week, if something or someone is holding you back, try hard to release that energy or find distance from that person. Life is short and every passing moment is a new opportunity to find your happiness.

    XO

  • Please Believe It

    Please Believe It

You look in the mirror and see yourself, but really, it’s not you at all. I mean, there’s your eyes and your nose and your cute little smile, but that’s to all there is to you. Because you’re not seeing the amount of lives you’ve touched in your presence. You’re not seeing all the people you’ve made smile and laugh. You’re not seeing how strong you are. In fact, all the battles you’ve overcome are completely invisible when you look in the mirror, hidden beneath your outside features. So, my darling, listen to me when I say this: you are not as simple as a reflection. You are complex, wonderful and something brilliant that a mirror simply does not have the capability to show. It’s only showing one tree in the forest, one star in a galaxy, one grain of sand at the beach.

And you are so much more than that.

    Please believe it.

    Moonlight in Kanab, Utah

We danced too wild, and we sang too long, and we hugged too hard, and we kissed too sweet, and howled just as loud as we wanted to howl, because by now we were all old enough to know that what looks like crazy on an ordinary day looks a lot like love if you catch it in the moonlight. – Pearl Cleage

I captured this photo in Kanab, Utah on a beautiful April evening. This quote is from my box of 365 quotes that I purchased at Hummingbird House in Sedona, Arizona.

When I read the quote, it reminded me of how I feel when I travel. ❤️
